DESCRIPTION:Reel Green™ Sustainable Production Training is free online training for the motion picture industry. Learn how film and TV production contributes to climate change and how to adopt best practices to reduce the industry’s environmental impact. This course is a unique\, engaging and solutions-based training session offering attendees the information and inspiration to live and work in a more sustainable way. \nUpon successful completion of the course\, attendees will:\n– understand how to act to reduce their impact within the three stages of production\n– recognize the impact production has on the environment\n– have knowledge of the tools and techniques to lessen this impact and how to collect and report data\n– receive the Trained by Reel Green™ badge\n– receive the Actsafe Certificate of Completion (for B.C. Residents only) \nTaking the Sustainable Production Training course is free and recommended to everyone in the motion picture industry. In this 2-hour training\, crew will learn how to adopt and implement more environmentally sustainable practices in the three stages of production.

SUMMARY:REEL Earth Day Challenge 2025
DESCRIPTION:The REEL Earth Day Challenge takes place annually in the days leading up to Earth Day (April 22nd). The event encourages local film crews\, productions\, sponsors and other industry stakeholders to annually raise funds to be donated to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation\, a registered charity supporting Metro Vancouver Regional Parks. \nThis is a chance for B.C. film productions\, who have consistently filmed in the regional parks over the years\, to give back to those parks. Industry sponsors can also contribute to the top teams’ daily challenge totals\, and the production that raises the most funds overall is recognized as the winner!
