Use this tool to estimate total power requirements for on-location filming.

How to Use the Power Budget Calculator

1. Review Departments
   
   Each major department (Lighting/Grip, Camera, Catering, etc.) is listed. Populate the type of equipment used in the relevant department.
   
   
2. Edit Equipment & Power Loads
   
   Change the equipment name, quantity, and wattage as needed. The calculator automatically updates total watts and energy (kWh).
   
   
3. Add or Remove Line Items
   
   Click the + button in a department to add additional gear.
   Use the X button to remove rows if not needed.
   
   
4. View Subtotals & Totals
   
   Each department shows a subtotal of its estimated draw.
   At the bottom, the grand total (watts and kWh) displays the overall power requirement.
   
   
5. Export Your Budget
   
   Click “Export CSV” to download your results.
   

Note: Always confirm final power needs with a qualified electrician or gaffer.
