Funding Opportunities

The Power Tie-ins Program is a granting program delivered by Creative BC for Reel Green™’s Clean Energy Committee. The Committee is investing up to $10,000 in electric grid tie-in projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in high-volume filming areas. The tie-in projects will enable film crews to tie in to electric power grids, thereby reducing the use of diesel-fueled generators on film sets.

Calculating the carbon footprint of your production is an important step in understanding the impact of film production. Having consistent data and metrics from the industry can help organizations like Reel Green™ understand priority areas for sustainable practices, as well as help productions understand and measure their carbon impact. Additionally, with more available data points, we can also derive economic benefits of going green in production!
