REEL Earth Day Challenge Kicks Off for Sixth Year

2026 REEL Earth Day Challenge

The 2026 REEL Earth Day Challenge (REDC) kicked off this week, marking the sixth consecutive year of support from Reel Green™ and the motion picture industry for the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation

The event brings B.C.’s production community together to take on daily environmentally sustainable actions while raising funds and awareness for restorative park projects across Metro Vancouver. As an added incentive, the top three placing teams will be able to utilize Keep It Green Recycling’s Material Reuse Warehouse for free.

Friendly competition is even better when it helps the planet and this year four production teams have signed up to participate between April 13 – 21, 2026. The winning team will be announced on Earth Day, April 22.  Funds raised through the challenge will directly support conservation, education, and visitor access initiatives within Metro Vancouver’s regional parks.

Reel Green™ extends its thanks to the participating teams and sponsoring partners for helping to make a positive impact for nature while championing sustainability in the motion picture industry.
