Acclaimed local documentary producer Andrew Williamson will speak about climate storytelling at Reel Green™’s special screening of THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING on June 18, 2025.

Andrew is a B.C. producer, climate change consultant, and Program Manager at the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC). His impactful and award-winning films include THE MAGNITUDE OF ALL THINGS, THE WHALE AND THE RAVEN, and most recently THE SALMON’S CALL which premieres June 24 at 9:00pm PDT on the Knowledge Network.

To quote Marshall McLuhan: “The medium is the message.” Andrew employs visual storytelling to educate and incite change.  He says there is audience demand for climate crisis content and in a recent interview with The Starfish he encouraged aspiring filmmakers to pick up a camera:

“Start where you are – create content, even on your phone, and get involved in student or community-based film projects. Sustainable filmmaking and environmental storytelling need your voice.”
