CBC Presents: Seeds of Change 2025

CBC is hosting the third annual virtual Seeds of Change event to celebrate climate action in the media industry on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Reel Green™ Lead, Justin Barnes, is featured in the lineup of speakers which includes CBC’s Sally Catto, “What on Earth” podcast host Laura Lynch, award winning wildlife photographer Shane Gross, and Jessica Jennings from Ontario Creates.

This year, green storytelling is at the heart of Seeds of Change. Hear from audience researchers, storytelling experts and Canadian broadcasters about the climate stories they are supporting.
The event will also provide information and resources to help filmmakers leverage sustainable production training, impact reports, funds and incentives used behind-the-scenes to reduce a production’s carbon footprint.
