Reel Green™ has published its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, setting a clear path to make clean power the default for film production in British Columbia. It continues to support proactive power planning using Reel Green™ tools, expands access to grid tie-ins, and emerging battery technology with the aim of reducing our energy consumption in the province.
The plan focuses on making clean energy the norm in B.C. filmmaking, enhancing circularity practices, and continuing to train the workforce. In collaboration with industry partners, Reel Green™ will communicate progress in shifting behaviour, leveraging renewable energy, and reducing waste.
The strategy advances B.C.’s leadership in efficient, future-focused, and environmentally responsible content creation by delivering enhanced tools, training, and industry-wide capacity building.
